The search is on... 

for the TENTH ANNUAL United Fire Firefighter of the Year. 

We are looking for an individual who exemplifies the character, commitment and compassion that are hallmarks of the firefighter profession. Do you know a firefighter that you think deserves to be the 2003 United Fire Firefighter of the Year? Well, you can nominate that special someone to be this years winner, right here and right now!

The winner will receive $3,000.00 in prizes and $1,000.00 cash. The winners organization receives an additional $500.00 credit toward future orders with United Fire. Each nominee and nominator will receive a free United Fire Firefighter of the Year T-shirt & Poster for valid applications. 

OFFICIAL RULES:

  • A Firefighter qualifies to be nominated for any courageous action or they can also be nominated for making contributions to life safety procedures or education.
  • Nominee must well represent the character and commitment of the firefighters in Arizona.
  • Nominations must be for an individual and actions should have taken place between July 16th, 2002 and July 15th, 2003.
  • All nominations must be received by August 4th, 2003. The winner will be announced September 4th, at the 2003 opening ceremonies of the Arizona State Fire School.

The deadline for nominations for the 2003 Firefighter of the Year Award ended August 4th, 2003. Nominations are no longer being accepted.
